Spells of showers predicted in 2 provinces and Jaffna

Colombo (News 1st): The Meteorological Department noted that several spells of showers will occur in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Jaffna district. Further, light showers are expected to occur in the Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Hambanthota districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Western and Central provinces and Galle and Matara districts after 1:00 p.m. Fairly heavy rainfall of about 50-75 mm are likely at some places in Sabaragamuwa province and Kalutara, Galle and Matara districts.
