Colombo (News 1st): The Presidential Commission to investigate irregularities that took place in the last 4 and a half years has been given until December 31st to return all documentation to the Department of National Archives. A spokesperson stated that nearly 25,000 documents pertaining to 1337 complaints had been in possession of the Commission. The tenure of the PCoI expired on October 31st at which point 29 of the total 1346 complaints had been investigated. This includes issues pertaining to the Digitalization of the Central Bank, the Suraksha Insurance scheme, the Independent Television Network, and the Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital. The report into those investigations was handed over to then-President Maithripala Sirisena on October 31st.
