Colombo (News 1st): M Entertainment (Private) Limited the exclusive territorial rights owner of the Film “Asterix: The Secret of the Magic Potion” instituted legal action on the 14th of this month at the Commercial High Court Colombo against ITN, seeking an interim injunction and damages amounting to Rs. 300 million.

The lawyers of the law firm Julius & Creasy, appearing for M Entertainment stated ITN had violated their exclusive rights in respect of the “Asterix Film” by the unauthorized broadcast by ITN dubbed in Sinhala on 19th of October 2019.

After considering the submissions made, Commercial High Court Judge Ratnapriya Gurusinghe proceeded to issue Notice of Interim Injunction and Summons to appear on 02nd of December 2019 to ITN.
