COLOMBO(News 1st) – The Chooda Manikya or the crest of the Ruwanweli Maha Saya with a gold base will be placed on the stupa this evening.

The time frame allocated for the devotees to pay homage to the Chooda Manikya ended at 12:00 noon today (November 25).

The Chooda Manikya was placed at the BMICH as well as in Anuradhapura for devotees to pay homage. A large number of devotees had arrived at the sacred premises of the Ruwanweli Maha Saya this morning.

The crest with a gem-studded gold base will be placed on the Ruwan Maha Saya at the auspicious time this evening.
