Kandy-Colombo new train in service from tomorrow

COLOMBO(News 1st) - The General Manager of Railways, Dilantha Fernando stated that 08 power sets will be imported to the country next month. He added that 06 of the power sets will be imported from China while the other two will be imported from India. Meanwhile, the Railways Department said, a new train will be in service from Kandy to Colombo Fort at 4:30 am from tomorrow (November 25) onwards. He further added that the same train will return to Kandy, departing Colombo Fort Station at 5:20 pm every day.
