It is wise for the incumbent government to step down : Ven. Medagama Dhammananda Thero

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Most Ven. Medagama Dhammananda Thero, Registrar of the Asgiriya Chapter of the Siam Sect shared that at this special occasion where the president and the government are from two different parties all should support them to achieve the expectations of the nation. The Thero recommended that it was wise for the current prime minister and the ministers to step down and allow the government in power to fulfil duties. Meanwhile, Ven. Narampanawe Ananda Thero, Deputy Registrar of the Asgiriya Chapter of the Siam sect shared that the recent presidential election was a fine example for the politicians of the country on how politics should be carried out in this country. Thero added that the election has made it clear that people who do not understand nationalism of this country can no longer continue politics in this country. "So we would like to mention to these politicians to avoid making ruthless statements and not create an unnecessary crisis in the country" Thero further added.
