Colombo (News 1st): According to the National Hospital 51 election officials were hospitalized today (November 15) due to a case of food poisoning. The National Elections Commission noted that the officials who were hospitalized were part of a team deployed at the Polling center at Royal College, Colombo.

Chairman of the National Elections Commission Mahinda Deshapriya stated that the officials have been provided with the relevant medications and will be able to report to work tomorrow (November 16) as usual.
