Colombo (News 1st) – A special Parliamentary session will be held today based on a request made by the Prime Minister.

This is in accordance with the Standing Orders of Parliament. The Speaker of the Parliament, Karu Jayasuriya has requested all members of the Parliament to attend the session, which begins at 11.30am.

The Deputy Secretary-General of Parliament Neil Iddawela said the Prevention of Offenses Related to Sports draft Bill will be presented to the Parliament during this session.
