Spill gate of the Udawalawa reservoir opened

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A spill gate of the Udawalawa reservoir has been opened.
The Chief Irrigation officer in charge of the reservoir, Sujeewa Gunasekara says that the spill gate was opened at around 1.00 pm today (November 10) due to the prevailing incessant rains.
He urged the general public residing in the lower region of the reservoir to be cautious since the gate has now been opened.
