Julampitiye Amamre sentenced to death

Colombo (News 1st) - Geegana Gamage Amarasiri alias Julampitiye Amamre was sentenced to death by the Tangalle High Court today for shooting dead two people at a JVP meeting in 2012 and seriously wounding another.
The verdict was delivered by Tangalle High Court Judge RSS Sapuwida. The victims were a woman from Katuwana and an 18 year old male. The shooting took place at a JVP meeting in Katuwana on the 15th of June 2012.
