Colombo (News 1st): Officials of the paramedical and services supplementary to medicine in the Southern Province have launched a token strike today (November 5).

The President of Paramedical Services Joint Front, Upul Rohana said the token strike is being carried out in protest against an attack on officials of the paramedical and services supplementary to medicine at the Hambantota Hospital and to highlight the failure of he Government to bring forward cabinet papers regarding their promotions.

The token strike will be in effect from 7 AM till 4 PM today.
