5 arrested while in possession of counterfeit currency

Colombo (News 1st): Five suspects in possession of counterfeit currency were arrested in Boralesgamuwa according to the Police. The Police noted that a suspect was arrested with 3 counterfeit Rs. 5000 notes during a raid conducted in the Boralesgamuwa town. Based on information revealed by the suspect following interrogation, 4 other suspects were arrested by the Police at the premises where the counterfeit notes were being printed, along with another 7, Rs. 5,000 counterfeit notes. The police have taken custody of a scanner and a computer which the suspects used to print the counterfeit notes.
