2 flights diverted to MRIA due to bad weather

Colombo (News 1st) - 2 aircraft that were diverted to the Mattala International Airport have safely reached the Bandaranaike International Airport. Two passenger planes from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia that were flying into the BIA were diverted to the MRIA due to rainy conditions experienced around the BIA this morning. The planes which were supposed to reach the BIA by 6.15 am landed at the MRIA before finally being cleared to fly back to the BIA by around 9.30 am
