COLOMBO (News 1st):- The National Elections Commission states that election observers representing 13 countries will arrive in the country in order to monitor election operations.
Commissioner-General of the commission, Saman Sri Ratnayake says that the observers will be arriving from Indonesia, South Africa, Australia, and South Korea. The observers who will arrive in the country on November 11th will remain in the country until after the elections following which they are expected to submit a report.
He further noted that 70 election observers representing the European Union are already en route to the country to inspect the election.
