"Our party does not hold massive public rallies" : General Mahesh Senanayake

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Speaking at a meeting of the representatives of the National Peoples' Party held in Yakkala, its Presidential candidate, General Mahesh Senanayake said that they are not a party that holds massive public rallies and that instead, they approach the public through an honourable political framework. He further said that they are not a faction of people who have looted funds in any way and that therefore the only way they could spread their message across to the public is through word of mouth. Moragoda says that what they are engaging in right now is a revolution taking place in a democratic framework and that the time has come to save this country from predatory politicians which is why they've come forward. He added that the country is in such a state where war heroes have been exploited and where police officers and war heroes are not allowed to carry out their duties properly.
