Colombo (News 1st): The Jaffna International Airport, Sri Lanka’s third international airport was declared open a short while ago by President Maithripala Sirisena.

The airport, situated 20 KMs from the Jaffna City, has been equipped with a 2.3 KM long runway.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Arjuna Ranatunga and a number of other dignitaries.
