COLOMBO (News 1st):- An event organized by the professional tutors' forum was held yesterday (October 12) under the patronage of the Presidential candidate of the National People's Power Movement, Anura Kumara Dissanayaka. The event took place at Pitakotte, Colombo and was attended by a group of tuition teachers, representing the professional forum. Addressing those gathered, Anura Kumara said that in a report the AG points out that the asset base of the government is just 1.8% of its total debt stock of Rs. 11 trillion whereas the social norm is to obtain a 10% commission from the transaction. He further says that although some say that Sri Lanka has crude oil and gas deposits yet to be discovered that he believes its best to be unidentified because if not Sri Lanka will also suffer the same fate as the Middle East. He added that hopefully either the next generation or a better government will use these deposits to generate real benefits. Also speaking about using the vote for the second preference in the upcoming Presidential election, he said that as the NPP movement they are of the view that whoever votes for then, should only vote for them and refrain from selecting second or third preferences. He also stressed on the fact that anybody who votes for them should not vote for another party as well, although S.B. Dissanayake could vote for Gotabaya but still chose Sajith as his second preference, while Vijith Vijayamuni Soyza could vote for Sajith but still chose Gotabaya as his second preference.
