SC extends stay order on museum case against Gota

Stay order preventing evidence hearing in case filed against Gotabaya Rajapaksa

Colombo (News 1st): The Supreme Court today (October 11) extended the order preventing the examination of evidence in a case filed against Gotabaya Rajapaksa and several other defendants to the 20th of December. The case was filed by the Attorney General at the Permanent High Court Trial at Bar, on the charges of criminal misappropriation of Rs. 33.9 million for the construction of the D.A. Rajapaksa Memorial Museum. An appeal filed by Gotabaya Rajapaksa was taken up today by Supreme Court Justices Buwaneka Aluvihare, Murthu Fernando and Gamini Amarasekera.
