Section of the parliament pier collapses

Colombo (News 1st): A section of the parliament pier has collapsed due to erosion. Our parliamentary correspondent said that a 20-foot section of the pier in front of the Bodhi Tree has gone down into the Diyawanna lake. This affected area of the Parliament is located close to the  MP's entrance. The parliamentary complex faces a risk of floods due to heavy rains experienced over the past few weeks.
