COLOMBO (News 1st) – Three people died and two were injured in accidents in Habarana, Puttlam and Kuda Oya.

According to the Police, a bike rider lost control of his bike and crashed with the pillion driver, in the Thalapathkanda area in Habarana. The injured motorcyclist and the pillion rider were admitted to the Dambulla Hospital, where the pillion rider succumbed to his injuries.

Another accident claimed the life of a woman standing on the Puttlam – Kurunegala Road as motorcyclist ran her over.

Meanwhile, another bystander died after being hit by a vehicle in the Kuda Oya, Thanamalvila.

The Police said, the vehicle has been identified and operations are underway in search of the driver and the vehicle.
