Open invitation for SLFP to join SLPP alliance

Colombo (News 1st): Media spokesperson for Gotabaya Rajapaksa Dullas Allahaperuma extended an invitation to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, to join their alliance to unseat this government that has destroyed the country throughout the past four and a half years. When questioned if they will form an alliance in the coming weeks, he noted that already the joint opposition has discussed with a number of other parties on forming the Sri Lanka Podujana Alliance. UPFA MP Wimal Weerawansa also commenting on it noted that a number of Parliamentarians from the United National Party have expressed their intention to support Gotabaya Rajapaksa. He added that due to certain problematic situations surrounding these individuals they do not hope to continue their discussions with them.
