Thundershowers with temporary strong winds expected - Met. Department

Colombo (News 1st) - The Meteorology Department states that the prevailing rainy weather will continue until tomorrow night. The Meteorology Department further emphasized that certain locations in the Western, Southern and Sabaragamuwa provinces would experience heavy rainfall of 200mm. The NorthWestern and Central provinces could expect heavy showers of 100-150mm according to the Meteorology Department. The department warns the possibility of thundershowers with temporary strong winds while requesting the public to take necessary precautions to minimize any accidents that could be resulted by lightning.
