Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association to launch a strike

Colombo (News 1st): The Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association says it would launch a continuous strike action from today (September 24), citing several demands including the resolving of salary anomalies. The Chairman of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association, Prabhath Chandrakeerthi said, daily operations at Departments such as Immigration and Emigration, Registration of Persons, Department of Pensions, Department of Motor Traffic and offices attached to Divisional Secretariats, will be hampered. When News 1st inquired from the Minister of Public Administration, Ranjith Madduma Bandara regarding this issue, he said, it would be discussed at the Cabinet Meeting which is to be held later today.
