Colombo (News 1st) – State employees have taken measures to launch trade union action regarding salary anomalies, today (September 23).

Convener of the Public Service Trade Union Udeni Dissanayake mentioned that all state employees except the executive officers have joined the protest.

Therefore the issue of ID cards, passports and other functions at all government institutions could be disrupted according to the statements made by Udeni Dissanayake.

Meanwhile, Co-Chairperson of the University Trade Union Joint Committee Dhammika S. Priyantha stated that their protests would continue until the authorities put forward an acceptable solution.
