COLOMBO (News 1st) – The NBRO has advised residents of certain areas to evacuate to safer locations if rain continues to persist, as rainfall within the last 24 hours has exceeded 150mm.

The NBRO has issued this advisory for the following DS Divisions of Kalutara district for potential threats of landslides, slope failures, rock falls, cutting failures and ground subsidence.

Bulathsinhala, Wallawita, Matugama, Agalawatta DS division and other surrounding areas.
