COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Colombo Magistrates Court today (September 20) completed the hearing of the revision application filed against the granting of bail to Inspector General of Police (IGP) Pujith Jayasundara, who is currently on compulsory leave, and former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando.

Colombo High Court Judge Vikum Kaluarachchi said a final decision regarding the application will be given on the 9th of next month.

Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris appearing on behalf of the Attorney General requested the suspects to be placed in remand custody, as the AG notes that the release of the IGP and the former Defence Secretary has caused five legal errors, thus requesting for this order to be revised.
