Presidential election to be announced within 2 weeks-NEC

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Chairman of the National Elections Commission stated the Presidential Election would likely be announced within two weeks from today (September 16). Mahinda Deshapriya, Chairman of the National Elections Commission noted that they would hold meetings today and discuss further on the matter. He added that tomorrow they would engage in a discussion with the political parties as well as the parties represented in the parliament.
