Attempt to smuggle 2 phones to Kanjipani Imran fails

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Six suspects who smuggled 2 mobile phones for the underworld crime lord Kanjipani Imran at Boossa prison were arrested. Department of Prisons stated that the detainees were allowed to see their loved ones openly today (September 12) in line with the Prisoner's Day. Six visitors including Kanjipani Imran's father and brother called on him and discreetly concealed 2 mobile phones and 2 chargers in a food parcel. The six visitors and the recovered items were handed over to the Rathgama Police Division for further investigations. Department of Prisons further added that 6 organized criminals are being held at the Boosa prison.
