Special meeting at Minister Rajitha Senaratne's official residence

Colombo (News 1st): A special discussion was held at Minister Rajitha Senaratne's official residence this afternoon (September 11). According to News 1st correspondent at the location, the meeting commenced at around 2 pm and was attended by several UNP MPs and Ministers. Following this meeting, no comment was made to the media, however, this evening at Temple Trees questions were posed to Minister Rajitha Senaratne in this regard. He noted that they discussed to develop the party and then decide on the candidate. He added that they looked into the possibility of securing support from different groups. The Minister said they will put forward a victorious candidate and will win the election. When questioned about the minority parties, he noted that apart from the Rajapaksa's all the others will join with them.
