Malaria raising its head in Sri Lanka once again?

Colombo (News 1st): The Health Authorities warn that Malaria might be imminent in Sri Lanka again. Dr Hemantha Herath, Director of the Anti Malaria Campaign said, 5 patients, have been recorded in the past week alone. He added, it is confirmed that people who arrive from abroad are the majority of carriers of the disease. When asked how people could protect themselves from the disease, he urged those who are travelling abroad, especially to India, to take precaution to protect themselves from mosquitoes, and once they arrive here, to visit the anti-malaria treatment centre in their respective areas for a check-up or treatment.
