Colombo (News 1st) - The "Ran Diya Dahara" Community Water Supply Project in Hatporuwa, Suriyawewa was vested with the public yesterday under the auspices of the Deputy Leader of the United National Party Minister Sajith Premadasa. This project was implemented for those in need of clean drinking water in Sooriyawewa Divisional Secretariat. The Project was implemented at a cost of Rs.2.9 Million. Deputy Leader of UNP, Minister Sajith Premadasa highlighted that it is a primary right of the people to have clean drinking water as it is important for healthy living. He added that by November or December the head of state will be chosen referring to himself as one among the contestants. He reminded the people to remember how they were treated by certain groups when they requested clean drinking water. He added that people in the Rathupaswala of Gampaha district requested water and were given water in a whole new manner through T-56 bullets. "There is no difference between me and you. The difference is through your strength you have appointed me as your servant. After November and December, the people who request water should decide whether to get shot or receive clean drinking water? It is a very simple decision", he continued.
