Avant Garde case: 4 suspects remanded

Colombo (News 1st): The 4 suspects in connection with the Avant-garde Floating Armoury case were remanded till the 20th of this month. The case is being taken up before the Galle Magistrates Court. The 4 suspects are Chairman of Rakna Lanka Limited Victor Samaraweera, Retired Major General Palitha Fernando, Retired Major General Karunarathne Banda Egodawela and Secretary to the Police Commission Saman Dissanayake. The Criminal Investigation Department informed the court that indictments have also been filed against the 4 suspects in order to take up the case before the three-member Special High Court.
