Two police officers shot in Akuressa

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Two police officers were injured in a shooting reported early this morning (September 6) in Panadugama, Akuressa. The police said that the officers were shot when they were in pursuit of a motorbike that had disregarded the officer's orders to stop. A Sergeant and a police constable who were injured in the incident are currently receiving treatment at the Matara Base hospital.
