COLOMBO (News 1st):- A 41-year-old died in a shooting that took place inside a bus in Bogaha Junction in Atakotte, Elpitiya. The deceased has been identified as a resident of Walinguruketiya in Uurugasmanhandiya.

The police said that the victim was shot in the bus when he was on his way for a case regarding a plot of land. The suspect had boarded the bus on which the victim was traveling in, shot him and fled the scene of the crime. A 9mm handgun was reportedly used to shoot the victim.

The body of the deceased is currently at the Elpitiya hospital and investigations have commenced to locate the suspect who carried out the shooting.
