Piyasara Shilpadhipathi passes away at the age of 75

Colombo (News1st) - Piyasara Shilpadhipathi who was well known as an excellent drummer in Sri Lanka, has passed away at the age of 75 this morning (September 2). He had been battling an illness for a long time passed away at his residence. He had been serving as a visiting lecturer at Colombo and Jayawardenepura Universities while being employed as a senior lecturer at the University of Kelaniya. The remains of the late Shilpadhipathi will be placed at his residence in Thalawathugoda for the general public to pay their respects.
