Sand fly disease on the rise in Polonnaruwa

COLOMBO (News 1st):- The health sector states that the Leishmaniasis disease caused by sand flies is currently on the rise in the Polonnaruwa district. Dermatologist of the Polonnaruwa Base hospital, Amitha Nelumdeniya says that nearly 20 patients were recorded within a month. The disease enters the body through a parasite.
