PM loses key position at Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A majority of donors of the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya have voted to remove Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe from the position of Chairman of the Board of Donors. The vote was taken following a meeting held this evening (September 1), which was chaired by Venerable Professor Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakkitha Thero. News 1st correspondent said only three members of the Sabhawa were in favour of Ranil Wickremesinghe remaining as the Chairman. Chief Incumbent of the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya Venerable Professor Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangha Rakhkhitha has informed the Dayaka Sabhawa that the decision reached will be finalized following discussions with the Executive Committee of the Viharaya.   https://youtu.be/sPseqQafYp4
