"If Gota comes to power, the country will be controlled through a military system" - MP S.M. Marikkar

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Development activities of six roads, commenced today (September 1) under the auspices of UNP MP S. M. Marikkar. It included the road opposite the Kolonnawa Balika Vidyalaya as well. Rs. 48 billion has been allocated under the Gamperaliya program, to develop these six roads. Speaking at the event, UNP MP S.M. Marikkar said that just because Wimal Weerawansa puts in an effort to raise his voice and dance to the tunes of other people, that Gotabaya Rajapaksa will never have the possibility of being elected as the President of the country because if he does become the President that all the retired army generals will be appointed as secretaries to the Ministries. He further said that the entire country will be controlled through a military system and that no one, not Mahinda, neither Namal nor Wimal could control him. Marikkar added that if Gotabaya comes into power and even Mahinda Rajapaksa is negatively affected by its outcome what would become of the people of the country.   https://youtu.be/zkXN8WIigHM
