COLOMBO (News 1st) – Several Ambassadors were invited for a reception at Minister Ravi Karunanayake’s residence last night. Although the ambassadors of several countries were invited, a reason behind the invitation was not mentioned. The ambassadors were, however, surprised to the see arrival of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, few minutes after they arrived at the minister’s residence. It is reported that the ambassadors had started to leave one by one.

Most of the ambassadors have called this meeting a very strange one. They have also added that the invitation extended without a valid reason, is a disrepute for their countries.
