COLOMBO (News 1st) – A group of 59 people who were displaced by the recent fire which spread across the Poranugodawatta, Peliyagoda continue to remain at the Peliyagoda Community Centre.

A fire on the 19th of August completely destroyed 08 houses and damaged 07 more. It was reported that the residences were illegally constructed on land owned by the Urban Development Authority.

The displaced have been provided with sufficient food and other necessities.
