Organization to protect SLFP against SLPP-SLFP union

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The organization for the protection of the SLFP had voiced strong opposition over a merger with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna during discussions held at the Sri Lanka Freedom Party headquarters this morning. Rajika Kodithuwakku, the Secretary of the organization had stated that their stance is the SLFP must field its own candidate. He said the organization does not support the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and highlighted it was Mahinda Rajapaksa who ruined the SLFP by forming another party. Further, he said Gotabaya Rajapaksa is a rigid person and cannot be contained and he is a person who did not even thank Basil Rajapaksa who laid the foundation for him to rise.
