GMOA doctors launch islandwide strike

Colombo (News1st) - Doctors attached to the Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA) commenced an islandwide strike this morning.  The Doctors have cited 8 demands including lack of proper transfers for launching this strike. The GMOA noted that they would continue the strike till 8am tomorrow. The strike action will not affect children's hospitals, the Apeksha hospital, military hospitals, and renal treatment units.
