60 migrant workers return to Sri Lanka from Kuwait

Colombo (News1st) - 60 women who had endured various forms of abuse while being employed in Kuwait, returned to the country this morning. According to the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE), the group includes 45 women who had sought shelter in their safe-houses. The rest has been in the custody of authorities in Kuwait. The SLBFE added that 173 women remain in their safehouses.
