Suspects arrested in Pamunugama with narcotics to be interrogated for 7 days

Colombo (News 1st): The Welisara Magistrate Court has ordered to detain and interrogate the suspects who were arrested with Hash and ICE worth Rs. 10 million for 7 days. Police said that it has been revealed that this has been in operation for an extended period of time. Investigations have revealed that after transporting the narcotics from India to Negombo through the sea, a large amount of drugs are being distributed throughout the island. It was noted that the main racketeer is a resident of Wattala. Investigations have been revealed that the narcotics have been brought to the country concealed in the loudspeakers. Two suspects were arrested with 500 grams of ICE and 4.5 kilograms of Hash on August 18th in Pubudugama, Pamunugama. The suspects aged 28 and 31 are residents of Mattakkuliya. Meanwhile, the police stated that steps will be taken to re-interrogate the suspects involved in the heroin smuggling in the Galle Sea. The suspects are currently in remand custody. Police noted that they will be interrogated after receiving the court order.
