Iranian drug vessel; investigations commence

COLOMBO (News 1st) -  The Police Narcotics Bureau has commenced investigations into the stock of heroin seized from a multi-day fishing vessel off the coast of Galle. The police said that a team comprising an ASP has been deployed to Galle for further investigations. On July 11th, a foreign fishing vessel with six Iranian nationals were taken into custody in the Southern seas of Sri Lanka and the Navy discovered around 70 kilograms of heroin in the vessel.
