Academic activities at IIM partially suspended

IIM temporarily closed for Second ,Third and Fourth year students

Colombo (News1st) - The Institute of Indigenous Medicine (IIM), University of Colombo has been temporarily closed for the students of the Second, Third and Fourth academic years starting today. (19 August) The Director of IIM, Professor Priyani A. Paranagama stated that the institute would be open for the students of First and Final students. She added that their academic and examination activities will proceed as scheduled. The decision was taken in response to an issue that had arisen in the men's hostel. The Director further mentioned that the students of First and Final Academic Year Batches are considered a priority when providing hostel facilities, according to the institution's policies. Professor Priyani A. Paranagama mentioned that the income, traveling distance of the students and the available vacancies at the hostel would be taken into consideration when providing hostel facilities for students.
