People battling life and death in an area prone to landslides

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Who pays attention to the issues of the public when the public representatives are engrossed in power struggles? This is a story of how the lives of the people at the Agrapatana Estate are between life and death. The area's landslides have put their lives at risk. Since the landslides in April 2018, those who were affected were kept in a library until their houses were rebuilt. Days and months have passed, yet their places are not rebuilt and their suffering continues. Living in the same landslide area makes their life harder, than before. Meanwhile, the shopping complex that was constructed in Mihinthale over a year ago has yet not been opened for public use. Over Rs. 30 million were spent on the project and it has now been abandoned.
