Two hacked to death in Grandpass

COLOMBO (News 1st): Two people have been hacked to death with the use of sharp weapons near the Madampitiya Cemetery in Grandpass. The police said that the murder had occurred when a group of people who arrived in a three-wheeler had stabbed a group of people travelling in another three-wheeler. Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that the murder was a result of a dispute that existed between two organized criminal gangs. The two individuals who sustained severe injuries in the incident had succumbed to their injuries after being admitted to the Colombo National hospital. The police said that the organized criminal named "Anamalu Ranga" was also among the victims.
