Colombo (News 1st): The historic Senkadagala Esala Perahera concluded today (August 15). The final Randoli Perahera of Kandy paraded the streets yesterday (August 14) at the auspicious time of 8.05 pm.

Kataragama Vasana Hasti Raja was blessed with the privilege of carrying the reliquary of the Perahera. The final Randoli Perahera was decorated with many colorful events and about 70 elephants paraded the streets.

The traditional ‘Diya Kapeema’ ceremony was held this morning after the Perahera of the four temples reached the Gatambethota of the Mahaweli river.
