Landslide Early Warning for several areas

COLOMBO (News 1st) - NBRO issues Landslide Early Warning since the rainfall within the past 24 hours has exceeded 75mm. NBRO advises if the rain to continue, be watchful on the possibility of landslides, slope failures, rock falls, cutting failures and ground subsidence in the following DS Divisions.

Nuwara-Eliya District (Ambagamuwa, Kotmale and Nuwara-Eliya divisional secretariat divisions and surrounding areas)
Ratnapura District (Kuruwita, Eheliyagoda, Elapatha, and Kiriella divisional secretariat divisions and surrounding areas)
Kegalle District (Bulathkohupitiya, Deraniyagala and Yatiyantota divisional secretariat divisions and surrounding areas.
Ratnapura DS area and Dehiowita area in Kegalle District are at alert level.
